From the HAY Outdoor Market by Jasper Morrison Shop collection, this striped beige-and-red Canopy is made to provide ample shade at your campsite or in your backyard. It’s crafted from durable 100% recycled polyester, FSC-certified beech wood, steel and rope. The striped design references a traditional Basque pattern, discovered by British designer Jasper Morrison in a vintage fabric at a flea market. The Canopy measures 78.75h x 118w x 94.5”d. Both Jasper Morrison and the manufacturer HAY are represented in MoMA’s collection.
What’s included:
- 1 Canopy.
- 2 wing poles (including 8 triangle brackets).
- 8 ropes (including tensioners).
- 8 steel pegs
- 1 textile bag.
How to assemble your Canopy:
Spread the Canopy on the ground, the inside facing downwards. Pull a rope through the triangle bracket on both sides and use the steel pegs to fasten them to the ground. Assemble the wing poles by screwing the top part and the bottom part together. Hook the metal spike into the triangle bracket. Loosen the ropes on both sides and lift up the wing poles so that they stand vertically on the ground under the Canopy. Complete this step with two people.
Adjust the tension of the rope by using the rope tensioners attached to each one. Mount and fasten the ropes in numerical order from 2–4, mirroring each step on both sides. Make sure each rope pulls the Canopy with equal force. Disassemble the Canopy in reverse order of set up and store securely in the included bag.
The Canopy can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use alcohol or any other solvents to clean the product. It’s advised to store the Canopy indoors. Do not use if any components break or wear out. The Canopy is not waterproof. Store in the bag once dry and indoors.Shipping Notes
